Terms of Service for GlassFocus

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using GlassFocus ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

Description of Service

GlassFocus is a cross-platform productivity application available on iOS, Android, Mac (Apple Silicon via the Mac App Store), and Web that provides:

• Pomodoro and customizable focus timer functionality
• Task management with due dates, subtasks, and project organization
• Focus analytics, insights, and on-device productivity analysis
• Ambient sounds and soundscapes for concentration
• Wellness features including breathing exercises, mood tracking, and hydration reminders
• Visual focus modes (Forest growth, Crystal growth)
• Optional cloud sync across devices (premium feature)
• Calendar integration for session logging (premium feature)

User Accounts

Account Creation

You may use the App without creating an account. All core features work with local storage only. Optional sign-in via Apple or Google enables cloud sync and cross-device access for premium users.

Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

Guest Mode

Users who don't sign in operate in "guest mode" with all data stored locally on their device. Guest users can later sign in to enable cloud sync, at which point local data can be migrated to their account.

Premium Features and Subscriptions

Free Features

All core timer, task, and basic analytics features are available for free, including:

• Pomodoro timer with customizable durations
• Basic task management (limited active tasks)
• Session history and basic statistics
• Select ambient sounds
• Standard themes

Premium Features

Premium subscription unlocks:

• Cloud Sync: Sync your data across all your devices via Firebase
• Advanced Analytics: AI-powered insights and detailed productivity analysis
• Unlimited Custom Timers: Create unlimited timer presets
• Unlimited Active Tasks: No limit on concurrent tasks
• Calendar Integration: Auto-log sessions to device calendar
• All Themes & Sounds: Access exclusive premium themes and ambient soundscapes
• Exclusive Clock Faces: Premium full-screen timer designs

In-App Purchases

GlassFocus offers premium features through:

• Monthly Subscription: $2.99/month, auto-renewing
• Lifetime Access: $9.99 one-time purchase

Subscription Terms

• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID Settings or Google Play Store account settings—not within the App.
• No refunds for partial subscription periods.

Refunds

Refund requests are handled exclusively by Apple App Store or Google Play Store according to their respective policies. We do not process refunds directly.

Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. Existing subscribers will be notified in advance of any price changes affecting their subscription.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App
• Interfere with the App's operation, security, or infrastructure
• Use the App to infringe on others' intellectual property rights
• Create multiple accounts to abuse free tier limits
• Share premium account access with others
• Use automated systems to interact with the App

Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, code, visual assets, audio content, and documentation, is owned by GlassFocus and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

User Content

You retain ownership of any personal data, tasks, or preferences you create in the App. By using cloud sync, you grant us a license to store and transmit this data solely for providing the service.

Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services:

• Apple/Google Authentication: For secure sign-in
• Firebase (Google Cloud): For cloud storage and sync (premium users)
• Apple App Store / Google Play Store: For purchases and subscriptions
• Device Calendar: For optional session logging (premium feature)

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GLASSFOCUS AND ITS DEVELOPERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Loss of data or productivity
• Business interruption
• Personal injury or emotional distress
• Device damage

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GlassFocus and its developers from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the App.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the App.

Upon termination:

• Your access to premium features will end
• Cloud-synced data may be deleted after 30 days of account termination
• Local data remains on your device

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
