GlassFocus ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our application across iOS, Android, macOS, and Web platforms.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide
Account Information: If you choose to sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your email address and display name from the authentication provider to create your account. We do not receive or store your password.
Timer & Session Data: Focus session durations, break counts, completion timestamps, and session ratings you record in the app.
Task Data: Tasks, subtasks, due dates, project tags, and completion status you create.
Focus Journal (Optional): Session reflections, personal notes, mood entries, and focus quality ratings you add after completing focus sessions.
Wellness Data (Optional): Mood check-ins after sessions, breathing exercise logs, and hydration reminder acknowledgments—only if you enable these features.
Information Collected Automatically
Usage Statistics: Session counts and total focus time for your personal analytics dashboard. This data is stored locally or in your cloud account (if signed in) and is never sent to external analytics services.
Device Information: Operating system type and version for app compatibility.
Information We Do NOT Collect
No Crash Analytics SDKs: We do not use Firebase Crashlytics, Sentry, or similar third-party crash reporting services.
No Third-Party Analytics: We do not use Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar tracking services.
No Advertising SDKs: We do not display ads or use ad tracking.
No Location Data: We never access your device location.
No Contacts or Photos: We do not access contacts, camera, or photo library.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to:
Provide the app's timer, task, and analytics functionality
Sync your data across your devices (only when you sign in with premium)
Generate personal productivity insights using on-device processing
Process in-app purchases and verify subscription status
On-Device Analytics
GlassFocus includes smart productivity insights powered by on-device statistical analysis:
Pattern detection for identifying your optimal focus windows
Session quality scoring based on completion and duration
Trend analysis for productivity insights
Burnout risk assessment based on session patterns
All analysis happens entirely on your device. We do not use cloud-based AI services (such as OpenAI, Google AI, or similar) for any data processing. Your productivity data never leaves your device except when you explicitly enable cloud sync to your own account.
Data Storage
Local Storage (Default)
By default, all data is stored locally on your device using encrypted local storage (SharedPreferences on Android, UserDefaults on iOS). No data is transmitted to external servers unless you explicitly sign in.
Cloud Storage (Premium Feature)
If you sign in with Apple or Google and have a premium subscription, your data is synced to Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) to enable cross-device access. This includes:
Timer sessions and statistics
Tasks and preferences
Custom timers and theme settings
Daily statistics
Cloud data is stored in Firebase's secure infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit.
Calendar Integration (Optional - Premium Feature)
If you enable calendar sync, GlassFocus can:
Create events for completed focus sessions in your selected calendar
Add task due dates as calendar events
Read your calendar to check for scheduling conflicts (for smart scheduling suggestions)
Calendar access requires your explicit permission and processes data on-device only.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
Your data is only transmitted to the following services when you explicitly enable features:
Firebase (Google Cloud): For authentication and cloud sync when signed in with premium
Apple App Store / Google Play Store: For processing in-app purchases

We use native Apple App Store and Google Play billing APIs directly. We do not use third-party purchase management SDKs.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
Access: View all your data within the app's Analytics, Tasks, and Settings screens.
Export: Export your complete data as a JSON backup via Settings → Manage Data → Export.
Correct: Edit your tasks, preferences, and settings at any time.
Delete: Delete your account and all cloud-stored data via Settings → Manage Data → Delete Account.
Opt-Out: Use the app entirely without signing in; all data stays local.
Data Portability: Your data can be exported in standard JSON format.
Account Deletion
Account deletion permanently removes:
Your user profile from Firebase Authentication
All cloud-stored data from Firestore (sessions, tasks, preferences, statistics)
Your subscription record (though Apple/Google maintain their purchase records)
Local data on your device remains until you uninstall the app or manually clear app data.
Multi-User Device Support
GlassFocus supports multiple users on shared devices (such as family tablets). Each user's data is stored separately using unique identifiers, ensuring complete data isolation between accounts.
Data Retention
Local Data: Retained until you uninstall the app or manually delete it.
Cloud Data: Retained until you delete your account.
Purchase Records: Apple and Google maintain their own records per their policies.
Children's Privacy
GlassFocus is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us to have it deleted.
Security
We implement the following security measures:
Encryption in Transit: All network communications use TLS/HTTPS.
Encryption at Rest: Cloud Firestore encrypts data at rest automatically.
Secure Authentication: We use OAuth 2.0 via Apple and Google; we never see or store your password.
No Password Storage: Authentication is entirely delegated to Apple/Google identity providers.

Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. For material changes affecting how we collect or use your data, we will notify you through the app.
Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
